Merchant / Seller Terms

These Merchant / Seller Terms apply to businesses and individuals who create a storefront on StoreB to sell products or services. By creating a store, Merchants agree to these terms in addition to our Terms & Conditions.
1. Accurate business information
Merchants must provide accurate, current and complete business information, including business name, contact details and address, and keep it updated.
2. Lawful products and services
Merchants must only sell products and services that are lawful in India and in the locations they sell to. Merchants are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any licences, registrations or approvals required for what they sell.
3. Rights and licences
Merchants must have all necessary rights, licences and authorisations to sell their products and services, including any brand, content and intellectual-property rights.
4. No prohibited products
Merchants must not sell prohibited or restricted products. A configurable prohibited-products list is maintained by the administrator and may be updated from time to time. Merchants are responsible for ensuring their catalogue complies.
5. Accurate pricing and descriptions
Merchants must provide accurate prices, product descriptions, images, specifications and availability. Listings must not be misleading.
6. Order fulfilment
Merchants must fulfil confirmed orders promptly, pack appropriately and dispatch through available delivery options. Merchants are responsible for delivery performance.
7. Customer complaints
Merchants must handle customer complaints, returns and refunds in line with their published policies and applicable Indian consumer-protection law.
8. Tax compliance
Merchants must follow applicable Indian tax requirements, including GST registration, invoicing, collection and remittance where applicable.
9. Consumer protection
Merchants must comply with applicable consumer-protection requirements, including those relating to returns, refunds, product quality and misleading claims.
10. Payment gateway requirements
Merchants must comply with the terms of the applicable payment gateway, including KYC, merchant eligibility and settlement rules. StoreB does not guarantee approval by any payment gateway.
11. Advertising platform policies
Where Merchants use advertising (such as Meta or Google), they must comply with those platforms' advertising and data policies. Merchants are responsible for their ad content and targeting.
12. Customer data use
Merchants must not misuse customer data. Merchants must obtain consent where required and must use customer information only for fulfilling orders and lawful communications.
13. No fraud
Merchants must not engage in fraud, fake orders, fake reviews, payment fraud, or any attempt to manipulate the platform.
14. Storefront content responsibility
Merchants are solely responsible for their storefront content and transactions. StoreB is a platform and is not a party to the contract between the Merchant and the Customer unless StoreB is itself the seller.
15. Acceptance during onboarding
Merchants must accept these Merchant Terms during store onboarding. Continued use of the platform constitutes ongoing acceptance.
16. Prohibited products (admin-configurable)
The administrator maintains a list of prohibited products. This list may be updated from time to time and Merchants must ensure their catalogue complies.
